Information
The
Foundation maintains a close and cooperative working
relationship with the University of Cambodia and its
affiliated organizations. Each year the Foundation grants
approximately 500 fully funded awards and 200 partial awards
to fulltime undergraduate students. The Foundation far
exceeded its original mission to provide additional
scholarships for Cambodia’s best and brightest high school
graduates. In only three years after it began, the
Foundation achieved its first major milestone—raising nearly
1,500 full and partial scholarship, with a net value of over
$3,000,000 million for the University of Cambodia. The
Foundation also offers grant and fellowship awards for
independent study and research that is geared towards
improving the general welfare of Cambodia.
This year
the Foundation is proud to announce the Samdech Decho Hun
Sen's Vision-100 Scholarships and the Samdech Hun Sen-Handa
National Scholarships 2008.
The
Samdech Decho Hun Sen's Vision-100 Scholarships
is a part of The University of Cambodia's Scholarship
Program aiming to reward exceptional students who have
academically excelled in their high school studies and who
will help promote exceptional human resource development in
Cambodia.
The Samdech Decho Hun Sen's Vision-100
Scholarships will provide100 students full-tuition to pursue
their academic studies at the bachelor degree level at The
University of Cambodia, the most prestigious university in
the country.
The
Samdech Hun Sen-Handa National Scholarships 2008
is a part of The University of Cambodia's Scholarship
Program aiming to reward exceptional students who have
academically excelled in their high school studies and who
will help promote exceptional human resource development in
Cambodia. The Samdech Hun Sen-Handa National Scholarships 2008 will provide 500 students full-tuition to pursue
their academic studies at the bachelor degree level at The
University of Cambodia, the most prestigious university in
the country.
The
Foundation is devoted to the welfare and future development
of the University of Cambodia. The Foundation serves all
campuses of the University of Cambodia and is responsible
for ensuring that 100% of all funds received are used to
support the teaching, research, scholarships, endowment,
faculty development, facility and campus developments, and
other programs and projects initiated by the University.
The
Foundation conducts fundraising campaigns and programs by
building relationships with alumni and friends,
corporations, philanthropist, and foundations and seeks
their support of the University’s programs throughout
Cambodia and the world. To acknowledge the generosity of
donors, the University is happy to name, for example,
Colleges, Scholarships, and various facilities in honor of
those who have made a substantial contribution to the
University and thus to Cambodia's future.
A Board of
Trustees and administrative staff govern the Foundation’s
work. Concern for the educational development of people
remains the priorities as established by the University of
Cambodia.
