People

of something big that we all could never accomplish alone,
educational excellence. People give their money and
material resources because it is a gift and not a duty.
People who give are not just the wealthy among us. But, it
is important to remember that University’s work has always
been primarily supported by those of modest means.
Those who
are monetarily gifted lay the big stones for the
University’s foundation, but there are still holes that need
to be filled in. It has always been the modest and small
donations that have given the little stones to fill in those
holes that permit the University to achieve its objective to
providing educational excellence!
People who
would like to giving can do so at the University, not only
through their financial gifts, but also in other areas where
their ability to make wise purchases and investments are
utilized. Whatever walk of life you are from, you should
remember that the basic context for the use of gift is
towards educational excellence and development of dignified
citizens.

Affordability and Accessibility
The
University of Cambodia is focused on affordability and
accessibility for all students looking to further their
education. Although the University does not receive funding
from the state, much of the University’s funds from private
donors and go directly or indirectly toward students,
faculty, and the community in the form of scholarships,
computer lab with free access to the World Wide Web,
community programs, and hiring talented faculty and staff.
The
University priority is always and will always be its
students, contributing to educational reform, and
development of the intellectual community. The University is
committed to develop an advance education that prepares
students to face a challenging world. In order to advance
the University’s mission, private partnerships must be
continually established and strengthened through your
support, because private support advances a basic education
into an exceptional one!
Your

many generations access to higher education and ensures the

What Gifts Accomplishment
The
University of Cambodia is one of few universities in
Cambodia that is officially recognized by the Royal
Government of Cambodia and the Accreditation Committee of
Cambodia (ACC) as being an accredited University. Despite
this, the University of Cambodia is a private run university
that does not receive government funding for basic
operations of any type. The University’s academic
opportunities and enrichment come from private donors
committed to advancing Cambodia’s education and human
resource development.
A large
amount of donors’ awards provide students from the rural and
the urban areas with scholarships in support of their
academic endeavors. Other funds enable the University to
recruit and retain outstanding faculty, staff, and
researchers. Even more, donor’s funds have contributed to
starting new programs of study, while enhancing established
programs, providing the financial means for renovation of
old buildings and new construction, and assist in the
University’s community development projects. There are many
ways that individuals and institutions could contribute.
